Clue® PINPOS and Chip and PIN
Each product in the Clue® PINPOS range incorporates an integrated high security PINpad with the following key features:
- Tamper-responsive high security module.
- Security approvals including PCI PED, Interpay, APCA and ZKA.
- DES, Triple-DES and RSA encryption.
- EMV 2000 Levels 1 and 2.
How does it work?
- With the Clue® PINPOS in hand, the employee goes to the customer and
enters details of the sale using the POS.
The customer wishes to pay by credit/debit card. - Employee touches the credit card button; the PINpad is activated.
- Employee turns the Clue® PINPOS device over and hands it to the customer.
- Customer checks the sale details and inserts their credit/debit card.
- Customer inputs their PIN number to complete the transaction and returns the Clue® PINPOS device to the employee.
End-to-end Acquirer Certification
Even though Clue® PINPOS is a fully certified terminal, your implemented process will have to undergo an end-to-end acquirer certification. This is to ensure that in addition to our certifications your acquirer is satisfied with the processes and levels of security throughout the whole transaction.
